Abstract

The professional activity of higher education leaders involves continuous interaction with complex organisational demands, intensive information flows, time limitations, interpersonal challenges and situations of uncertainty. This paper examines the cognitive and psychological factors that contribute to adaptation to stressful situations in higher education management, including cognitive appraisal, psychosemantic interpretation, cognitive flexibility, emotional self-regulation, coping strategies and the role of professional experience and reflection.
